Electricity market in crisis? A battery will help endure blackouts.

For several years we have also been installing batteries, with great success.

A battery, when added to a solar power system will store your energy for later use and help to reduce electricity bills.

With the correctly designed system, battery power will kick-in to power your home in the event of black-out. It’s important to design the system to meet the home’s requirements and, also, to meet your specific needs and match expectations.

For example, if your home uses 12 kWh overnight, then the battery needs to match that amount. If your battery is too small, or your home consumption is too large, then your back-up potential will not be sufficient, and you will only be powering yourself into the early evening.

Currently, one of our favorites is the LG RESU 12, which is a 12kWh battery. This will give an average home more than one night’s back-up, covering you for longer emergencies. This is coupled with a matching battery inverter (LG 5048) and a large solar array which will give you efficiency and reliability.
